Dr Chandra Dontham
Dr. Chandra Dontham is a registered medical practitioner since 2003. She has completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Australia and obtained fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) in 2014. Dr Chandra Dontham has completed most of her specialist training in Sydney. New South Wales. During her extensive training, Dr. Dontham has worked at Westmead Hospital, where she gained valuable experience in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery and Pelvic floor surgery. She underwent further training in Pelvic Floor surgery at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne and Mater Hospital, Townsville. With extensive experience in all aspects of Women’s Health care, Dr Dontham can offer her patients a comprehensive and caring approach to their health concerns.
Dr Chandrakala Dontham is registered with the Medical Board of Australia and She is a member of the Australian Medical Association, RANZCOG, AGES, ASCCP, UGSA, IUGA and ANZVVS.

In-Office Procedures:
Some Gynaecology procedures can be performed in the comfort of our office setting, avoiding need for hospital admission and general anaesthesia, resulting in a pleasant experience and quicker recovery time.
Hospital Procedures:
Fees
We are a private billing clinic, meaning all consultations attract a fee. Fees are payable by
EFTPOS, Cash and Credit card. The AMA fee schedule forms the basis of our billing policy for most of
our In-Office procedures. Private health insurance is not applicable for In-Office procedures, and
you will receive a partial refund from Medicare.
Our practice is equipped with Medicare Online and we can lodge Medicare claims immediately, saving
time for our patients. Please ensure your bank details are registered with Medicare to avail this
service.
Surgical Fees
Private health insurance would be advisable for procedures performed at a Private Hospital.
Private Health insurance with Gynaecology Hospital cover for more than 12 months
Dr Dontham has agreements with majority of health funds, and you will be given an informed financial consent (IFC) at the time of booking your surgery. It is your responsibility to check with your health fund.
Private Health insurance with Gynaecology Hospital cover for less than 12 months
You may need to check with your health fund prior to booking surgery. you will be given an informed financial consent (IFC) prior to booking surgery. It is your responsibility to check with your health fund.
No private health insurance
Patients live in Peel Health Campus Catchment area are treated as public patients if they do not have private health insurance. There will not be any costs involved for Surgical treatment in Peel health campus. However, you will be added to our public waitlist as per the Surgical Waitlist policy of Western Australia and waiting periods may apply.
Self-insured patients
(Outside of Peel health catchment and no private health insurance)
Self-insured patients are welcome, and you will be provided estimate of fees in writing prior to proceeding with any procedures.
